1.Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Yalkut AI, including the Teacher Portal, Student Portal, AI Teacher, AI Tutor, content-generation tools, assessments, and related services. By creating an account, accessing an invitation, or using the service, the user agrees to these Terms.
During the initial teacher-only beta, teachers agree to use fictional or sample student profiles and not enter personal information about real students. The rules for any later real-student access are set out in Section 4.
2.Pilot or Beta Service
Yalkut AI is currently offered as a pilot or beta service. The product is still being tested and improved. Features, design, AI behavior, limits, and availability may change during the pilot. Some functions may be incomplete, contain errors, or be temporarily unavailable.
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the pilot when reasonably necessary for testing, security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product decisions.
3.Free Access and Future Pricing
Yalkut AI is free during the current pilot or beta period. Free access is temporary and does not guarantee that the service will remain free indefinitely.
Paid plans, subscriptions, usage limits, or other fees may be introduced later. Users will receive reasonable advance notice, and no user will be charged without expressly agreeing to the applicable price and payment terms.
4.Eligibility and Student Access
The initial beta is intended for individual teachers. If real student access is enabled later, it will be limited to students in Grades 9 to 12 who are at least 13 years old. The pilot is available only in Israel, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and the United States. Adult account holders must be legally capable of accepting these Terms.
During the initial teacher-only beta, teachers must use fictional or sample student profiles and must not enter personal information about real students. If real student access is enabled later, students may not register independently and may access Yalkut AI only through an invitation from an authorized teacher. A student without an authorized invitation must not create or use an account.
Users under 13 must not register for or use Yalkut AI. Supporting users under 13 would require a separate parental consent process, age and country checks, child-friendly notices, parent access and deletion controls, provider review, testing, and country-specific legal review before access is enabled.
5.Accounts and Security
Users must provide accurate account information, keep login credentials confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Account holders are responsible for activity performed through their accounts unless caused by a security failure attributable to the operator.
Teachers must use appropriate methods when inviting students and must not publicly share private class links, student credentials, or access codes.
6.Educational Use and Teacher Responsibility
Yalkut AI supports teaching and learning but does not replace professional judgment. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing lessons, questions, answer keys, feedback, grades, recommendations, and other AI-generated content before publishing or using it for official educational decisions.
Users should independently verify important information. Yalkut AI is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, psychological, safeguarding, or emergency advice.
7.AI Features and Limitations
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, inappropriate, or inconsistent. Similar requests may produce different results. The operator does not guarantee that AI output will be correct or suitable for a particular learner, curriculum, assessment, or purpose.
Users must not represent AI-generated material as verified without appropriate review. Teachers must approve AI-suggested grades and feedback before students see them when the activity is graded. Student Tutor messages may be automatically screened for safety or policy concerns. A flagged message may be blocked and the student may be asked to rephrase it. This screening is not an emergency-monitoring or safeguarding-alert service.
8.Acceptable Use
Users must not use Yalkut AI to:
- Break the law, violate another person's rights, or upload illegal, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or infringing material.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or endanger another person.
- Cheat, misrepresent academic work, or bypass rules set by a teacher or school.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, scrape protected data, or bypass safety and usage controls.
- Use AI outputs to make high-impact decisions about a person without appropriate human review.
9.Uploaded Materials and User Content
Users retain ownership of materials they upload or create, subject to any rights held by other people. A user who uploads a book, document, scan, image, video, question, student work, or other material confirms that they have permission or another lawful basis to use it.
Users grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit their content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and provide the features requested by the user. Raw user content will not be used for general product improvement unless the user separately authorizes that use or it is otherwise permitted by law. Product analytics and improvement will use aggregated or de-identified information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The operator may restrict or remove uploaded content that reasonably appears illegal, harmful, unsafe, or infringing. Review and removal of uploaded materials may rely on a manual reporting process, and automated review of uploaded materials is not guaranteed.
10.Student Work and Academic Integrity
Student submissions, answers, scores, and AI Tutor interactions must be used only for authorized educational purposes. Only teachers assigned to the relevant course may view an identifiable AI Tutor conversation linked to a student's submission or test activity. Students will be informed before using the AI Tutor that assigned teachers may view these conversations, and access to identifiable conversations will be recorded. Teachers and schools are responsible for communicating applicable academic-integrity rules and reviewing suspected misuse before taking disciplinary action.
11.Intellectual Property
The operator and its licensors retain all rights in Yalkut AI, including its software, interfaces, branding, prompts, workflows, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the platform to users.
The ownership and permitted use of AI-generated outputs may depend on applicable law, the source materials used, and third-party provider terms. Users are responsible for reviewing outputs before commercial publication or redistribution.
12.Privacy
Use of Yalkut AI is also governed by the Yalkut AI Privacy Policy. During the initial teacher-only beta, teachers must use fictional or sample student profiles and must not enter personal information about real students. If real student access is enabled later, teachers must collect only information necessary for the educational activity and inform students about what data is collected and what assigned teachers can view.
13.Third-Party Services
Yalkut AI relies on Supabase for accounts, authentication, database, and file storage; OpenAI for AI generation, course-material search, transcription, and message moderation; Vercel for application hosting and operational logs; Resend for course-invitation emails; and the speech-recognition service provided by the user's browser when voice input is used. These services may have separate terms and privacy practices. The operator remains responsible for selecting and managing its providers as required by applicable law but does not control unrelated third-party products or websites.
14.Feedback
Users may submit comments, bug reports, or product suggestions. The operator may use this feedback without payment or obligation and will not publicly identify the contributor without permission.
15.Availability, Changes, and Usage Limits
The operator may introduce reasonable limits for AI generations, AI Tutor messages, voice input, retries, storage, class size, or other resource-intensive features. Applicable limits and the behavior when a limit is reached will be shown in the service or communicated to affected users before enforcement. Voice input depends on speech recognition provided by the user's browser and may be subject to the browser provider's availability and terms.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every browser or device, or preservation of every beta feature.
16.Suspension and Termination
The operator may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, legal requirement, non-payment after paid plans are introduced, or material harm to the service or its users. When practical, the user will be given notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Users may stop using the service at any time. Deleted account or course data will be removed from active systems within 30 days, subject to limited legal and security exceptions described in the Privacy Policy. A teacher account may instead be deactivated and its identifying profile information removed while authorized educational records are transferred, retained, deleted, or anonymized as appropriate. Permanently deleting a course queues its uploaded materials, extracted text, transcripts, and related generated files for deletion within 30 days. Backups may retain deleted information for up to 90 days.
17.Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the pilot service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. The operator does not warrant that the service or AI outputs will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure in every circumstance, or suitable for every educational purpose.
18.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses from use of the pilot service. Direct liability is limited to reasonably foreseeable losses directly caused by a breach. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
19.Changes to These Terms
The operator may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, security, or commercial changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service, by email, or through another reasonable method before they take effect when required by law.
20.Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Subject to mandatory legal rights, the competent courts in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service.
